Renault Twin’Run gets 316bhp & pays homage to the Renault 5 Turbo
Fri, 24 May 2013The Twin’Run is an extreme version of the next Twingo and manages to pay homage to the old Renault 5, with a thumping great V6 bolted in the middle and pumping out 316bhp and 280lb/ft of torque, enough to get to 62mph in 4.5 seconds and on to 155mph. The Nissan-sourced V6 gets mated to a SADEV six-speed sequential gearbox and comes with a limited slip diff to stop the tyres burning off when the going gets brisk. As well as endowing the Twin’Run with lots of power, Renault has also kept weight down to 950kg by using a tubular chassis, glass-polyester composite for the bodywork, lumps of carbon fibre and not a hugely laden interior.
2014 Peugeot 5008 gets a bit of a facelift
Thu, 09 Jan 20142014 Peugeot 5008 gets a bit of a facelift You’d expect an MPV from Peuegot to be a bit of a soggy, boring drive, but actually the Peugeot 5008 MPV is not bad at all. But the problem has been that the 5008 isn’t exactly the best looking kid on the block. But Peugeot has now fixed a lot of that by bringing the 5008 up to date with Peugeot’s new family nose as part of a mid-life facelift for the 5008.
Kia Forte
Fri, 27 Jul 2012Kia has released renderings of its 2014 Forte model, known as the K3 in Korea and the Cerato in the European market, ahead of its debut at this year's Los Angeles auto show in November. The renderings show the Kia family tiger nose grille, while a rising line sweeps from the front to the rear, giving the car a much more aggressive stance than its predecessor. A steeply-raked windscreen and blacked-out side window frames, emphasized by a chrome strip around the side graphics, creating a more dynamic profile.
