Presented for your consideration, one Furuno GP-31, in good used condition, complete with bracket AND Operating Manual as shown. NOTHING ELSE. If you don't see it in my auctions, you won't be getting it. In this case, for example, no power cord, no antenna. But the GOOD news is the PRICE!! While other sellers are asking $300-$400 for this unit, I will list it at the lowest price on eBay.....only $199.99! And I will also enable the "Make Offer" button so if you want to try to save a few bucks and risk losing it because someone could hit the "Buy It Now" button before I see your offer, go ahead and make a FAIR and REALISTIC offer, and I might just TAKE it!! Just don't get upset if it sells out from under you before I get a chance to respond! It's happened to me and I was really disappointed, so I am warning you in advance that it could happen to you! It's in real nice shape as the pics show, but like any other electronic item I can not offer ANY warranty of ANY kind, other than it won't be DOA. But if it dies in 6 months or a year please don't get mad at me......it's USED and I have no way of knowing how many years you'll get out of it. That said, if it DOES arrive DOA (it shouldn't as it worked just fine when removed for an upgrade), don't leave me negative feedback, PLEASE!!!! I don't ever sell anything knowing it won't work! for years of accurate, reliable use. Its compact,
waterproof housing and adjustable mounting bracket
make it easy to locate and install. Using a multi-channel,
super sensitive GPS receiver and mini antenna unit, the
GP-31 provides continuous navigation data at sea.
Varied, easy to use display modes are easily selected
using soft key controls. Display modes available include
Plotter, Highway, Steering, Navigation Data, and two
programmable modes.
The GP-31 may be interfaced with a compatible
Autopilot for efficient steering. When using the graphic
3D Highway or Plotter mode, it is simple to steer directly
towards your destination. The programmable mode
permits you to customize the display layout so the
navigation data you are interested in is displayed in
optimized large characters.
A complete range of useful navigation data, including
vessel position (L/L or LOPs), speed, heading, MOB
position, range, bearing, TTG and ETA to a selected

Ford announces electric car plans at the Detroit auto show
Sun, 11 Jan 2009Not to be left out of the electric car party, Ford announced Sunday at the Detroit Auto Show that it was developing a line of electric powered vehicles. In addition to its already announced hybrids and plug-in hybrids, Ford is working with Magna International to bring fully electric cars to market with lithium-ion battery packs. In the works is a Focus and Fusion-based vehicles that will be available in with all three powertrains.

Detroit Auto Show: Volvo S60 sedan
Sun, 11 Jan 2009Showing a new direction inspired by Scandinavian design, Volvo displayed a concept vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show that previews the new S60 sedan, due in 18 months. The car has a new face--with angled headlamps, a coupe roofline and no B-pillar--and an interior with the "environment of a modern Scandinavian living room," said Steve Mattin, Volvo senior vice president of design. The car's more emotional look is part of a longer-term strategy to give Volvo a more exciting image in the United States through changes in product design and marketing, said Stephen Odell, CEO of Volvo Car Corp.
