Autodesk Automotive Days - Munich 2009

Autodesk's Automotive Days design conferences, launched in Munich in 2008, have highlighted the key growth area of digital prototyping. And at last month's conference the focus was once again broadened to include coverage of conceptual design and creative visualization (at the very beginning of the design process) and design for manufacture - at the culmination of the process. Tanner Foust jumps a Hot Wheels truck to new record at Indy

Before the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, Team Hot Wheels yellow driver and three-time X Games gold medalist Tanner Foust broke the world record for distance jump in a four-wheeled vehicle. Foust dropped 10 stories down a life-size version of the iconic orange toy track and soared 332 feet through the air. Foust then unmasked himself--his identity had been a mystery up to that point, as shown in the teaser video we posted earlier this month.

Audi TT RS gets the green light for America

After thousands of enthusiasts signed an online petition demanding it, and after solid reviews from the media, including AW, Audi has announced the TT RS will come to the United States. Look for it in showrooms about a year from now. The RS is the performance version of the TT coupe, with a 360-hp, 2.5-liter TSFI turbo five-cylinder engine powering all four wheels through Audi's quattro drive system.
