In order to be classified as SFI 3.2A/5, The SFI Foundation requires a thermal protective performance (TPP) score of 26. Thus GF505 garments exceed the specifications of their intended use, and racers can have confidence in them. A front-mounted camera and laser range-finder identify the car's surroundings while making realtime updates to distances, mapping out the car's movement into 'safe zones'. The system also asseses the vehicle's limits, such as grip, and corrects the car.
