Audi R8 V10 - a gift for the day for a dose of Twitter love The Marketing world is changing fast, with online reporting and social media fast relegating traditional print media to the dustbin of history. And if you want a lesson on how to make social media work in the car world, you could do a lot worse than look at Audi’s recent efforts. Audi started using hashtags (that’s a little phrase preceded by the hashtag and used on Twitter) in its adverts for the Superbowl last year, which is a good way to get topics trending on the Twitter social media hub.

McLaren 12C Spider: The video

Last week we had the reveal of the convertible version of the MP4-12C – the McLaren 12C Spider – and now we get the first video of McLaren’s convertible supercar. We did think McLaren would have released a video of the new 12C Spider when it was revealed last week, but they’ve obviously got the hang of their new video software now so we finally get to see the 12C Spider in action. McLaren has used cinema-quality RED camera technology to capture the 12C Spider in terrific detail as it first performs on track and then traverses the stunning roads in the mountains of Andalucia.

Rolls-Royce RR4 preview

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars today revealed the first design sketches of its next new model. Known internally as the RR4, the car is due to be launched in 2010 and will sit alongside the Phantom in the model line-up. The RR4 will be smaller than the Phantom and powered by a new engine, unique to Rolls-Royce.
