Garage Star 1990-2005 Engine Lift Plates






Product Description

The Garage Star engine lift plate is designed to help lowered cars protect their motors by creating more ground clearance for the motor. Coupled with the Garage Star skid plate for maximum protection. The kit comes with two lift plates are powder coated black. Install time takes about 30 minutes.

Instructions

Step One.
You want to first jack your car up and secure the vehicle with jack stands.

Step Two.
Loosen up the nuts for the motor mounts on each side but don’t remove them all the way.

Step Three. 
Use a block of wood on the jack to keep the jack from damaging the oil pan. Jack the engine slowly until it won’t go any higher.

Step Four.
Slide one Garage Star engine lift plate in between the motor mount and subframe on each side.

Step Five.
Now that the Garage Star engine lift plates are in place tighten your motor mounts. You want to lower the engine. Double check that everything is tight. Once everything is secure you can lower you car.

RCA Citroen/Exa Double Challenge project

Second year students at the Royal College of Art in London revealed a series of projects at their interim degree show last week. Developed in collaboration with French automaker Citroen and the Exa Corporation, a leading supplier of aerodynamic software, the Double Challenge project asked students to design an ultra-compact model that could establish a unique Citroën e-vehicle aesthetic for the future, all while adhering to certain aerodynamic criteria that would not only reduce energy consumption and ensure stability at speed, but also visually communicate efficiency through its design. The project, which kicked off in October last year, was closely followed by representatives from Citroen and Exa, who examined each of the projects and chose a winner, Heikki Juvonen, at the event last week.
