Fri, 07 Mar 2014Jaguar sign up David Beckham as the face of Jaguar in China Land Rover had a go at making Victoria Beckham the face of the Range Rover Evoque, and now Jaguar have taken Mr Spice on board as their new face of Jaguar in China. David Beckham has been revealed as a new Brand Ambassador for Jaguar, with the ubiquitous Mr Beckham front a centre in a new campaign in China to promote the Jaguar Brand. And it’s a good move.
Ford Fiesta eWheelDrive gets wheel hub electric motors
Sat, 27 Apr 2013The Ford Fiesta eWheelDrive – a driveable research vehicle built by Ford and German specialists Schaeffler – may be a regular supermini in size, but it points towards a potential future EV which is much more compact and very manoeuvrable. Ford has taken a regular Fiesta and dumped its powertrain, replacing it with a battery bank where the engine would be and fitted a pair of in-hub electric motors on the rear wheels. But the plan is to build new cars with the batteries under the floor which frees up the space under the bonnet which can then be all but removed to create a very compact urban car that still has space for four.

Thu, 20 Nov 2008The Lamborghini LP560 has been with us for a few months now, so bang on cue Lamborghini has announced the convertible version – The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder (what a mouthful – I think we’ll just stick with ‘LP560′). The Spyder version of the original Gallardo was always one of our favourites. It gave away so little to the hard-top version it really made sense to have the convertible – a rare thing with a performance car.
