Garmin GMR 1224 xHD2 Radar

With 12KW Power and 4’ Open Array Antenna

Garmin GMR xHD2 radars are designed for serious seafarers with large yachts and sport fishing boats. They provides the best combination of radar capabilities Garmin has ever offered. They deliver more data, higher detail, better resolution, and the clearest radar images available on your Garmin chartplotter. They provide the best sensitivity and most consistent target positioning available. Perfect for cruising and fishing near shore, offshore, overnight and in foggy, limited or no visibility, conditions.

Garmin radars paint a clear, concise image of the shoreline, other vessels, and impending weather on your Garmin chartplotter. You get consistent target positions, excellent target separation and reliable operation. Their 8-bit true color imagery also helps you discriminate large targets from small ones and enhances target separation. They feature otation speeds of 24 and 48 rpm with a maximum range scale of 72 nautical miles.

Fishermen know, when you find birds at the water’s surface, you’ll also find fish. To further improve your fishing experience, use Bird Mode, which helps to locate birds at the water’s surface where baitfish are also likely to be found.

A historical “trail” is left on the screen to help you quickly and easily identify moving targets and potential collision threats.

Single radar antenna is capable of providing split screen images on your chartplotter for both close and long range.

Dual Radar Support provides redundancy and the ability for each display unit on the boat to select data from one of two different radar sources.

Additional Features:

  • Dynamic Auto Gain
  • Dynamic Sea Filter
  • Radar Overlay
  • MARPA Target Tracking
  • Guard Zone
  • VRM and EBL

Audi TT interior (2014) first official pictures

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 08 January 2014 12:00 If you’re hankering after the new Audi TT, sit tight: this is the cabin that awaits you inside Audi’s new third-gen sports coupe. Although it retains classic TT design cues like triplet central air vents, and the instrument binnacle’s rounded hood, this is a step-change for Audi interior design, nicking cues from the 2013 Sport Quattro concept and pointing to the future of all Ingolstadt’s cockpits. The slim, almost Ferrari 458-like dashboard structure has come about through Audi ditching the central MMI (MultiMedia Interface) screen altogether.

Keeping Shelby alive

Mon, 19 Nov 2012

Carroll Shelby, the wild-spirited 89-year-old racing icon and king of thundering garage hot rods, lay on his deathbed last May struggling to talk. He urged his younger friend and business partner John Luft to lean closer. "Keep Shelby American alive," Shelby strained to tell Luft in his final hours.
