Kia Ex_Cee'd Cabrio Concept (2007): first official pictures
Fri, 23 Feb 2007By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 23 February 2007 09:40 Kia Ex_Cee'd Cabrio Concept: the lowdown The Koreans' ambitious growth plans show no signs of slowing down; last week, Kia unveiled the Cee'd estate production car - today, it slides the covers off a soft-top version of the same model. Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake Fake +video
Thu, 13 Aug 2009The fake Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake - rendered in Maya Turns out that it was all a bit of viral fun created by Jared Holstein, the outgoing editor of TopGear.com. He came up with the idea and got a bunch of Summer Interns in the States to do the donkey work. A digital design student called Matt DuVall used Maya (a digital 3D rendering programme) to create the original image (actually, I’ve been trying to master Maya for ever – must get some tips from Matt!) which incorporated lots of Porsche design themes, and even used a Porsche ‘Mule’ license plate.
Policy, green cars take center stage at Washington auto show
Thu, 26 Jan 2012Public policy and the ultimate impact it has on consumers' cars was the hot topic on Thursday at the Washington auto show, as companies vied to show off and explain their latest fuel-efficient technologies under the watchful eyes of regulators and government officials. Notably, Chevrolet announced plans to roll out an "Ecologic" environmental label on the 2012 Sonic, with other vehicles to follow. Sort of like nutrition labels for food, Chevy's version will explain the environmental impact of cars throughout their life cycles.
