The Garmin GPSMAP 195 is aviation's largest display moving map handheld, with a high-resolution, 4-gray display that delivers 50% more useful display area than any other handheld. That space is filled with a full Jeppesen database, a built-in Americas or International land map with geographically specific details of U.S. roads, railroads, etc. Add in over 4,500 non-precision approaches and a 12 parallel channel GPS receiver for unbeatable performance, coupled with all the accessories you need to take off, and it's easy to see why the GPSMAP 195 is the ultimate moving map portable.

A graphical HSI page offers pilots a full range of horizontal and vertical guidance, complete with a deviation bar, OBS, track bug and TO/FROM indicator. The advanced vertical navigation feature lets you to specify your desired altitude at a given distance from a selected target and watch your progress every step of the way all on a backlit, 38,400 pixel display that's easy on the eye, even in direct sunlight.

The GPSMAP 195 also includes final segments of all published approaches, 250 user waypoints, 20 reversible flight plans of 30 waypoints each, fuel and trip planning, weight and balance calculator, and much more. The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe will launch at the Detroit Motor Show 2010 There’s been a fair bit of news on Cadillac’s performance halo car the CTS-V of late. We had Bob Lutz taking on all comers at the Monticello Race Track in New York for the CTS-V Challenge (which turned in to a one-make competition) and the ubiquitous Mt Lutz confirming that Cadillac will be making a CTS-V Wagon (Estate, to us). And now comes confirmation of the CTS-V Coupe.

Designer Paul Smith launches exhibition

DESIGN GURU Sir Paul Smith has given a glimpse into his world with a re-creation of his office forming part of a new exhibition dedicated to his work. The fashion star takes centre-stage at the Design Museum in London for the next four months with items from his vast archive on display. Sir Paul was at the launch today, posing alongside colourful life-size cardboard cut-outs and showing off sketches, designs and other paraphernalia from his lengthy career as one of Britain's best-known creative forces.

The Range Rover Sport based Land Rover Range_e Pragmatically, Land Rover are working hard to change the world’s perception of its products by shouting as loudly as they can about the ‘Green’ credentials they have, from off-setting carbon emissions to 45k miles on every car they sell to adding stop-start to the Freelander 2. But long-term Land Rover are looking to introduce new, lightweight cars in 2012/2013 with the same aluminium underpinnings as Jaguar, and introducing some hybrid technology on the way. With that in mind they’ve put together a Range Rover Sport based Range_e to trial the tech ahead of its use in the next generation of Land Rover’s cars and are planning on running five cars as test-beds this year.
