Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Meets The Real Thing
Thu, 21 Aug 2014WHILE Infiniti has yet to make a decision on whether to put its high performance Q50 Eau Rouge model into production, bringing it to the circuit with the corner named after it was too good an opportunity to miss. It’s no surprise that Sebastian Vettel, Infiniti’s Director of Performance and four-time Formula One World Drivers’ Champion, put the car through its paces as part of a social media promotional activity. Vettel has been involved in the ongoing development of the Q50 Eau Rouge prototype, which was first revealed as a design concept vehicle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January this year.
Can 40 baboons wreck a new Hyundai i30? (video)
Thu, 10 May 2012A troop of Baboons attack the new Hyundai i30 Hyundai has put the new i30 to the ultimate wear and tear test by letting a troop of more than 40 Safari Park baboons loose on it. Some of us are considered killjoys by our offspring because we refuse to take our pride and joy through a Safari Park. But maybe when we get the new Hyundai i30 in for a week soon we should pile the kids in the car and trot off to our nearest Safari Park?
Porsche Boxster (2012) first official pictures
Thu, 12 Jan 2012Porsche only pulled the covers off the new 911 Cabriolet at the 2012 Detroit motor show three days ago, but it’s already unveiling another convertible: the new Porsche Boxster. Faster, lighter, cleaner, more economical, and (most importantly) better looking than its predecessor, it will be officially revealed at the Geneva motor show in March, before going on sale in the UK on 28 April 2012. Let’s start with the new Porsche Boxster’s looks then… It’s still recognisably a Boxster, but the headlights are now more vertically stacked, the doors are scalloped to flow into the bigger side intakes, a strong crease runs between the tail lamps and integrates with the pop-up rear spoiler, and every line and angle is just a little bit sharper and more dynamic. The Porschephiles amongst you would have also spotted that the folding fabric roof no longer has a panel to drop behind; instead the roof itself now doubles as the cover when the hood is stowed.
