Add depth to your chartplotter view with the GSD 22 remote sounder. The GSD 22, Garmin's first digital sonar, is a robust unit designed to operate with stand-alone chartplotters or integrate with the Garmin CANet and Marine Networks. The GSD 22 is a powerful remote sounder that plugs directly into the Garmin Marine Network for use with Garmni network chartplotters or into the new Garmin CANet for use with the 292/392/492 series chartplotters. Ultrascroll technology keeps the display scrolling at live-action speeds, while the unit's digital design and up to 2 kW of transmit power (depending on transducer used) provide extraordinary target definition and deep water performance. Transmit power and receiver gain automatically adjust to produce excellent shallow water performance as well. The GSD 22 is dual frequency (200/50 kHz) and works with everything from a standard 500 W transom mount transducer to heavy-duty 2 kW thru-hull or in-hull transducers. Reaches depths to 5,000 feet. 180,000 'lied over motor insurance'
Wed, 17 Sep 2014NEARLY 3,500 cases of motorists lying on their applications for insurance or deliberately leaving relevant information off them are being uncovered by insurers each week, new figures reveal. Some 180,675 attempts to make fraudulent applications for motor insurance as people tried to get cheaper cover than they were entitled to were detected last year, equating to around 3,475 incidents a week, according to data released by the Association of British Insurers (ABI). These claims were exposed as lies by the insurer either at the point when the person applied for a policy, or after they had obtained cover and had gone on to make a claim.
