Mazda 2 and Mazda Hakaze

By Ben Whitworth Motor Shows 08 March 2007 09:15 Lighter and smaller - now there's a change Mazda drew in the Geneva crowds with two key show cars – its sprightly new Mazda 2 supermini and the radical Hakaze crossover concept. In a world that’s piling on the pounds, the Mazda 2 bucks the trend – it’s smaller in all directions and weighs a full 100kg less than the outgoing model. The result is better emissions and economy, tidier handling and punchier performance, according to the spec sheet.

Pagani Zonda R – the Ultimate Video

Great video of the Pagani Zonda R below Well, ‘Ultimate Video’ may be slightly overstating the case, but it is a crackingly good video. As we said when we reported that Pagani were taking a Zonda Cinque Roadster to the Geneva Motor Show - and again when we told you about the Zonda Tricolore – we are almost at the end of the Zonda, with the Pagani C9 due to bow on the world stage in September undisguised (although we’ve seen plenty of Pagani C9 spy photos). So the Zonda isn’t really news any more, and the Zonda R even less so.

Volkswagen Touran

Volkswagen unveiled the new Touran at the Leipzig Motor Show last week. Though not an entirely new design, the revisions to the Touran were made to bring the car in line with other offerings in the Volkswagen stable - namely the Polo, Golf and the recently revealed Touareg SUV. At the front, a new grille with horizontal lines sits atop a new front bumper, while revised taillights with LED bulbs join a new tailgate and bumper at the rear.
