to built-in terrain, mapping and obstacle databases, the GTN provides a
greatly enhanced, high resolution presentation of the surrounding area.
A built-in terrain elevation database shows color-coded alerts when
potential terrain conflicts are ahead. Full Class B TAWS alerting is
also available as an option. The SBAS/WAAS equipped GTN 650 series lets
pilots fly GPS-guided LPV glidepath approaches down to ILS-comparable
minimums. In addition, precise course deviation and roll steering
outputs can be coupled to select autopilots so that IFR flight
procedures may be flown automatically. This includes all ARINC 424 leg
types, excluding RF legs (for example, when coupled with a G500/G600
Flight Display, the aircraft can fly fully coupled missed approaches,
including heading legs).
Included:
- Garmin GTN 650 System (Black)
Altitude Range: | -1500 ft. to 50000 ft. |

Guy Ritchie wrecks Top Gear Cars
Sun, 06 Dec 2009Guy Richie wrecks four Top Gear Cars in SIARPC There have been one or two ‘Stars in a reasonably priced car’ who seem intent on wrecking the Top Gear car. Most of those have been our Colonial cousins who don’t understand the concept of using your left foot to change gear, nor do they seem to understand that you also need to use your left hand in sync with your left foot to do so. We shouldn’t mock the afflicted – no discrimination at Cars UK.
2012 Mini Cooper S Coupe review notes
Tue, 09 Oct 2012EXECUTIVE EDITOR BOB GRITZINGER: Just when all the auto pundits thought the big-honkin' all-wheel-drive full-size (at least for Mini) Countryman was the first sign of Mini's impending demise, along comes the apocalypse, otherwise known as the Cooper Coupe. Though people of all ages venture that it “looks cool” or “interesting” or “fun,” none of them have had to drive it or live with it. Let's get out of the way that it can be as fun to drive as a Mini Cooper S, but it's not an improvement over the larger, more functional, more sanely styled model.
Mazda Minagi Concept – Mazda CX-5 – leaks ahead of Geneva
Tue, 18 Jan 2011The Mazda Minagi Concept - will become the Mazda CX-5 The Mazda Minagi Concept is a compact SUV concept Mazda are planning on taking to Geneva in March. Fortunately, the name won’t stick when the Minagi goes in to production. Instead, this will be the Mazda CX-5. With a front end that pays homage to the Mazda Shinari Concept (the concept that points the way to the Mazda RX-9) and a back end that seems to find inspiration in the Hyundai ix35, the Minagi is Mazda’s answer to the compact SUVs from Ford, Hyundai, Audi and VW.
