Brabus at 2009 Frankfurt motor show

Fri, 18 Sep 2009

By Tom Sharpe First Official Pictures 18 September 2009 13:12 Mercedes tuning supremo Brabus unveiled its new 788bhp EV12 at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show – a car so powerful there’s only room for ten on the open road. Number one of ten limited-edition Brabus EV12s struck a brooding figure at the tuner’s stand – hardly surprising with a 6.3-litre bi-turbo V12 under the bonnet and a £440,000 price tag. The E-class has been transformed into a tarmac-shredding supercar-chaser thanks to the introduction of a newly developed SV12 R bi-turbo engine which, Brabus claims, was implanted under the bonnet with 'almost surgical precision'.

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 03 June 2007 02:33 Minis clean up Mini today announced it will fit many of the Efficient Dynamics tech already seen on the 1-series to all new hatchbacks fitted with the new PSA engines. The result? A Cooper D will now emit just 104g/km of CO2 - matching the signficantly more expensive Toyota Prius.

Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Thu, 13 Sep 2007

By Guy Bird Motor Shows 13 September 2007 02:11 There’s no ‘F’ in Scuderia? Ferrari is at pains to point out that the third V8 in its family – the F1-inspired new 430 Scuderia – 'is not just a stripped-out version of the F430'. So it has dropped the ‘F’ to stress the 430 Scuderia’s more separate nature.
