THESE WERE A UNIQUE LARGE WEAVE CARBON-KEVLAR FIBER AND HAD A SLIGHT GREENISH TINT. THEY LOOKED SIMILAR TO SNAKE SKIN, HENCE THE NAME "PYTHON PROTECTOR" - IT HAS A DENSE FOAM BACKING TO ISOLATE THE COVER FROM THE ALUMINUM TANK, SEE IMAGES WITH THIS STICKER, THIS ONE IS SPECIFICALLY FOR A 1998 TX270, THE 1999 MODEL WAS THE SAME EXCEPT FOR GRAPHICS. Recalls and stop-sale orders leave GM cars sidelined at dealers
Thu, 22 May 2014Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest times of the year for car dealers around the country, but the recent spate of recalls and stop-sale orders for GM vehicles will be putting the brakes on a lot of potential sales. Specifically, Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC dealers will be unable to deliver tens of thousands of large SUVs and crossovers, a segment that has seen a lot of demand in recent months because of unavailable parts for recalled cars, Automotive News reports. When it comes to large crossovers, the recall of 1.3 million examples of the GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, and Chevrolet Traverse vehicles from the 2009-2014 model years is likely to hit dealers hard.

The plug-in hybrid X5 is set to re-write the SUV rulebook with its four-cylinder petrol-electric drivetrain producing claimed figures of less than 90g/km of CO2 and a tree-hugging 74.3mpg, smashing the Lexus RX450h which produces 145g/km and 44.8mpg. What’s more, it’s better than the most efficient 3-series currently on sale, and far more frugal than the V8-powered BMW X6 Active Hybrid that was axed in late 2011.
