THEY LOOKED SIMILAR TO SNAKE SKIN, HENCE THE NAME "PYTHON PROTECTOR" - IT HAS A DENSE FOAM BACKING TO ISOLATE THE COVER FROM THE ALUMINUM TANK, SEE IMAGES THIS ONE IS SPECIFICALLY FOR A 1998 OR 1999 MODEL WHICH WERE THE SAME EXCEPT FOR GRAPHICS.
