BMW creates mini version of Art Car by artist Jeff Koons

Known for his whimsical sculptures, artist Jeff Koons is using his skills to create limited-edition BMW Miniature Art Cars instead of giant stainless-steel balloon animals. Famed artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein have created their own BMW Art Cars, and Koons is just the latest in a line such works since Alexander Calder painted the first installment in the Art Car Collection in 1975 Adorned with bright streaks of color against a black background, the full-size vehicle competed in Le Mans in 2010. Imre Molnar memorial service announced

Imre Molnar will be honored in a memorial service this month, the College for Creative Studies (CCS) has confirmed. CCS President Richard Rogers has announced that on 20 January at 3.00pm (EST) all who knew Molnar are welcome to attend the service and share with his family in a remembrance of his life. Molnar, who was the college provost, passed away during the holiday season after riding his bicycle in California and suffering a fatal heart attack on the afternoon of 28 December.

TVR set for 2015 comeback

TVR's new owner, Les Edgar, has dated 2015 as the company's comeback, as they plan to have a two-car range costing 50,000-80,000 pounds ($76,155-$121,848). Having produced cars such as the Griffith, the Grantura, the Cerbera, the Chimaera, the Tuscan and the Sagaris, TVR hopes to continue and evolve this spirit after a production hiatus in 2006 due to ownership change. "It is a well-thought-out business plan, and at the root is the requirement to make money,” stated Edgar in an interview with Autocar.
