If you’re able to arrive early enough on Thursday for Goodwood’s Moving Motor Show you might just be able to book yourself a slot to drive up the famous hillclimb course with one of the many manufacturers displaying their cars. Few mere mortals get the opportunity to drive up the hallowed tarmac at Goodwood – it’s more often reserved for F1 aces and motorsport heroes, such as a certain David Coulthard. UK pays £30 million a month in parking fines

British motorists are paying out a massive £30 million in parking fines every month, according to Freedom Of Information data obtained by LV= car insurance. So far in 2013, councils have handed out over 890,000 tickets a month – an increase of 4% on 2012 figures. The huge £30 million total is based on the UK average parking fine of £42.

Tesla is the midst of coast to coast rally from LA to New York

Just a few days after the last Tesla Superchargers were in place, allowing a coast to coast trip from Los Angeles to New York (via South Dakota), the company has decided to test this is practice. Tesla has staked its reputation on getting 98 percent of the country within the coverage of a Supercharger station by 2015 and the first major milestone was the completion of what we'll call The Supercharger Trail, a series of overlapping charging station locations that would allow one to take a trip from New York to LA. Just past midnight on Thursday, January 30th, a Tesla Motors team left Los Angeles in two Model S sedans bound for New York City.
