BMW rolls out 2014 2-series, 2015 M3 sedan and 2015 M4 coupe at the Detroit auto show

BMW had a number of debuts at the Detroit auto show this year -- we got our first (official) looks at the 2014 2 Series coupe, 2015 M3 sedan and the 2014 M4 coupe on the show floor. The electric i3 city car and its plug-in hybrid i8 supercar cousin were there as well, along with a massaged 2014 BMW Z4 convertible. A look at BMW future products

BMW and Toyota have agreed to work on a sports car, fuel cells, electric-vehicle components and lightweight materials. The agreement underlined BMW's determination to make its new i electric-vehicle subbrand a success. It has built a special showroom for i vehicles in London and will do the same at its company-owned New York City dealership.

Peugeot puts RCZ designer on Twitter

Like many automakers, Peugeot is now making conspicuous use of social media platforms as a component in its new car launch campaigns and in order to manage customer relations online. For its new RCZ coupe, Peugeot in the UK has been running a social media campaign under the strap line "It chooses you", with associated Twitter and Facebook accounts – which culminated with a member of the public winning an RCZ last week. For auto designers, there was little interest in the campaign up until last week, when Peugeot put RCZ designer Boris Reinmöller behind a computer terminal and opened him up to a public Q+A session through its Twitter account.
