Gb Graham Brothers 1920s? Hub Cap Grease Cap Dust Cover Wheel Center on 2040-parts.com
Juliustown, New Jersey, US
Here is a Graham Brothers wheel/axle cover.
It was found in the ground in our yard in NJ. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham-Paige,
this item could be from 1920’s (possibly 1922?). After successful involvement in a
glass manufacturing company (eventually sold to Libbey
Owens Ford) brothers Joseph B. Graham (September 12, 1882–July 1970),
Robert C. Graham (August 1885–October 3, 1967) and Ray A. Graham (May 28,
1887–August 13, 1932) began in 1919 to produce kits to modify Ford Model Ts
and TTs
into trucks. That led to the brothers building their trucks using engines of
various manufacturers and the Graham Brothers brand. Eventually they
settled on Dodge
engines, and soon the trucks were sold by Dodge dealers. The Grahams expanded
from beginnings in Evansville, Indiana, opening plants in 1922 on
Meldrum Avenue in Detroit, Michigan of 13,000 square feet (1,200 m2),
and in 1925 in Stockton, California. The Canadian market was
supplied by the Canadian Dodge plant. Dodge purchased the Graham Brothers truck
firm in 1925, and the three Graham brothers took on executive positions at
Dodge. The Graham Brothers brand lasted
until 1929; Chrysler Corporation having taken over Dodge
in 1928. I saw another listing with the GB
logo but also with DETROIT written on it. So, this one is one made early on. So
I am thinking this was part of the “kits” for model T’s they made early on or
when they opened their plant in 1922 under their own brand. If you have any information or questions,
please email me. I do not know anything more than what I have written. Thanks for looking.

Last Lexus LFA leaves Motomachi Plant
Mon, 17 Dec 2012The very last Lexus LFA – LFA #500 – has left the Motomachi Plant in Japan two years after production started and three years after the LFA was revealed. The idea of a Lexus supercar that cost so much seemed barking mad, but the LFA turned out to be a very special car indeed, not just for its build and performance but for what it meant for Lexus and Toyota – a future that would encompass many of the LFA’s design cues and DNA in future mainstream models. But three years after the LFA debuted, and exactly two years after the LFA went in to production at the TMC dedicated production facility at the Motomachi Plant, Aichi Prefecture, the last LFA – a white LFA Nurburgring Package #500 – has left the building.
Toyota drops plans for Electric Cars
Mon, 24 Sep 2012Toyota has decided that there is little future for electric cars and has reigned in its plans to build battery electric vehicles. When you think of hybrid cars, you think of Toyota. But Toyota didn’t want to be left behind if battery electric cars strike a chord with buyers, so they were planning an extensive roll-out of the iQ EV – the Toyota eQ.
Mitsubishi Compact Crossover revealed
Thu, 29 Oct 2009The new Mitsubishi Compact Crossover Mitsubishi is working to re-align itself in the market place. It wants to be seen as a manufacturer of ‘environment-friendly passenger cars & crossovers’ instead of an SUV focused manufacturer. It sees cars like the i-MiEV, Colt, Lancer, Grandis and Outlander as the future, although it intends remaining in the ‘Authentic off-roader’ segment with cars like the Shogun.
