Our working hours are Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm. Please understand that no emails will be replied to during the weekend and on holidays.

Warranty Policy:

Warranty policies are stated within the item description. It varies from item to item. Please read the item description thoroughly. If you have any questions, please contact us before making any purchases.

In the case of a defective item, we guarantee exchanges. We are not responsible for the labor that's involved. In order to have a valid defective claim, the item must be intact and untampered with. If anyone has tampered with the unit in any way, the claim will not be accepted. Claims for defective items need to be submitted by email to us within 5 working days from when you received your product. Before sending you a replacement, we will have the defective item picked up. We will issue a Call Tag (at no cost to the buyer, billed to us) and have it picked up. FEDEX will make 3 pickup attempts. The buyer must be available to hand the item back to FEDEX when they attempt pickup. Otherwise, it is your responsibility to ship it back. Once the item arrives back to us, we will ship you a replacement. In the event that a suitable replacement is not available, a full refund (including shipping) will be issued.

Returns:

Parts being returned by a customer for any reason must be “postage paid” by the customer.  We cannot accept any C.O.D.s on returned merchandise.  We are more than happy to exchange parts or give full refunds for parts that you are not satisfied with, as long as the returned parts are in new and unused condition and the return is made within 30 days of the original shipping date.  Refunds for purchases made with a credit card will be credited to the card used for the original purchase.  Be sure to include a copy of your purchase invoice along with INSTRUCTIONS on what you would like done with any returned parts.  Shipping charges are non-refundable.  Any items that are returned for refund will be subject to a 20% restocking charge.

We have a facility capable of manufacturing fine accessories that are very useful for the GEM Car market. We first started out making bolt-on accessories like bumpers, hitches, ladder racks etc. And now we have added "wear parts" to our product line. Some of the "wear Parts are brake shoes, cylinders, drums, hoses etc. Most of our products have at some point been sold through GEM Car dealers. We pride ourselves in quality workmanship and materials.

• The flat rate shipping fee supplied only applies to the 48 states. Shipping prices to Hawaii and Alaska vary, and should be discussed through emails BEFORE purchasing or bidding on the item.

We only ship to Paypal "Confirmed" shipping addresses.

We do NOT ship to P.O. Boxes, please make sure you do not supply a P.O. Box shipping address in your Paypal payment.

• Upon receiving your order, inspect it immediately. If damage to parts is discovered, DO NOT send any parts back to The Thing Shop. You must file a damage claim with the carrier. Do not dismantle the package; but instead keep the parts and packing material as close as possible to the original received condition. The carrier must determine how the damage occurred. Without the original container and packing material, your claim will be voided by the carrier. Damaged or missing parts must be reported within 10 days of receipt or claim will be voided. Damaged parts are to be returned by the carrier. Missing parts may have come out of the packaging during transit.

Geely's take on the London Cab & MINI Cooper Regular readers – in fact anyone who takes notice of car news – will probably recognise Geely as being the Chinese car maker who bought Volvo in 2010. Proper car anoraks may also remember the ‘Chinese Rolls Royce‘, a Phantom ‘Homage’ from Geely that came equipped with a ‘Throne’ in the back to transport a lone plutocrat. It looked a lot like a Russian cold war ZIL meets cartoon Phantom and there was no mistaking it was a Chinese car for a Chinese market.
