Thu, 04 Oct 2012Toyota is reporting strong sales for September, with the Auris Hybrid and Yaris Hybrid performing well. But Prius sales are down. Toyota are reporting strong sales for September – with the launch of the new 62 plate – with an 18.6 per cent jump in sales for a market share of 4.41 percent.
GM puts Girsky in charge of Europe operations
Thu, 12 Jul 2012General Motors has put vice chairman Steve Girsky in charge of its troubled European operations, replacing Karl-Friedrich Stracke. GM said that Stracke will handle special assignments from chairman Dan Akerson. GM said Girsky will serve as "acting head" of its European operations while it searches for a replacement executive.
Michelin Challenge Design 2009 preview
Fri, 19 Dec 2008Michelin is continuing to profile the work of some of the leading contenders for its annual Michelin Challenge Design competition, which asks the design community to come up with proposals for "America's Next Iconic Vehicle". All 11 of the scale models and 24 two-dimensional drawings in the running will be exhibited at the 2009 NAIAS in January. Earlier this month, we featured three of these scale models following their selection by a jury of top automotive designers.
