Ford make no secret of their ambitions for the marque in China and have put on a show at Beijing with the Chinese debut of the Fiesta-based EcoSport, the new Ford Kuga, the Explorer SUV and the new Focus ST. The Ford EcoSport is the little urban warrior SUV based on the new Fiesta platform we revealed back in January when it debuted at the Delhi show.

Audi updates the R8 LMS racer for 2010

Built to FIA GT3 spec, the ‘evolution’ cars will be delivered by mid-April 2010. Introduced in 2009, the the R8 LMS won three championship titles and 23 wins out of 73 races in its first year.What has Audi changed on the updated R8 LMS?The updated car includes changes to the chassis and suspension, a new six-speed sequential gearbox and a revised cooling system to improve the car’s performance in high ambient temperatures.

By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 20 August 2009 09:30 As bets in this topsy-turvy, unpredictable industry go, it’s a banker: of all the motor shows on the global calendar, the Tokyo exhibit is always the barmiest. Although the Chinese shows are rising in importance – and amusement value –  there’s something peculiarly bonkers about the biannual Japanese bash held in downtown Tokyo. So strange is the exhibition at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City to westerners, that you don’t bat an eyelid at talking cars, vehicles with feelings, or cars designed for dogs.
