GT Academy gamer team lands on the podium at the 24 Hours of Dubai

The last time we spoke with Bryan Heitkotter in November, he was preparing for the 24 Hours of Dubai with his three teammates from the GT Academy. Now the 30-year-old gamer has a podium finish under his belt. RJN Motorsport's GT Academy team, headed up by owner Bob Neville, took third place on Jan.

Nissan has unveiled its all-new 2013 Sentra, the third of five new vehicles being introduced in a 15-month period. The new Sentra – which measures in at 4,625mm long, 1,760mm wide and 1,496mm high – is 68kg lighter than its predecessor while still having larger overall dimensions and a more spacious interior. Sitting on a wheelbase of 2,700mm, the Sentra adopts the automaker's new signature trapezoid-shaped grille and large wraparound headlights with LED accents.

Tesla are planning a self-driving car Now that car makers have been fitting radar and sensors to their cars for some time, which allow stuff like adaptive cruise – which automatically slows behind traffic and can even bring the car to s stop on its own – the race is on to make cars even more autonomous. We’ve reported recently on the Mercedes Intelligent Drive S-Class that negotiated its way – more or less – on a 60 mile route in Germany, and on Volvo’s self-parking system which will take your car in to a multi storey car park by itself, park, and meet you when you return. Google has also been playing with self-driving cars and has even gained permission to run its autonomous cars in California, and now Tesla are joining the fray with plans for an autonomous car in the next three years.
