BMW Motorsports P54B32 CF Airbox

This is one of the last presently available BMW Motorsports P54B32 CF Airboxes. This CF Airbox is incredibly rare and not often seen. Originally designed for the P54B32 in the BMW Motorsports Z4 GTR, you can expect absolute perfect fitment, build quality, and beauty. Like the OE CSL CF Airbox, this was produced by Die Wethje.

Overall, the CF Airbox is very similar to the OE CSL. The most drastic difference being the unfiltered section. It is not compatible with the OE CSL Flap Actuator since the Z4 GTR did not use it. Fortunately, this does not inherently effect the functionality of the Airbox. Like a lot of the CF Airbox equipped cars out there, you can route some big hose ducting to feed proper ambient air to the motor.

I bought this airbox brand new last year and put less than 3k miles on it. It is in excellent condition.

I am selling the following as a package:

1 x BMW Motorsports P54B32 CF Air Collector
1 x BMW Motorsports P54B32 CF Unfiltered Air Housing
1 x BMW Motorsports P54B32 Air Filter
1 x BMW OE CSL Ventilation Bracket
2 x BMW OE CSL Ventilation Bracket Bolts
2 x BMW OE CSL Airbox Rubber Mounts
6 x BMW OE CSL Airbox Boots
6 x BMW OE CSL Airbox Boot Clamps

Chris Economaki was one of the good guys

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

I'm really going to miss Chris Economaki, who died this morning around midnight, 91 years young. Elsewhere on this site, you'll find writer Leo Levine's excellent tribute to Chris. In it, he pays compliments to Chris such as “he left a hole in the motorsports firmament that can never be filled.

Vauxhall & Opel could merge with Peugeot Citroen.

Sat, 13 Oct 2012

GM Europe (Opel and Vauxhall) could extend their deal with PSA (Peugeot Citroen) with a Joint Venture or merger. When GM Europe and PSA announced they were forming an alliance earlier this year, we asked if this was an admission that the mainstream car market in Europe had changed forever, and an alliance between Opel, Vauxhall, Peugeot and Citroen was the only way to keep the brands viable. But we did also question what use a projected annual saving of €2 billion by sharing suppliers and co-developing platforms would be to PSA and GM considering their woeful losses.

Lotus 'Eagle' (2009): first pictures

Tue, 15 Jul 2008

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 15 July 2008 19:00 This is the long-awaited new Lotus 2+2, with a 3.5-litre Toyota V6 and four apparently useable seats. It's the first new Lotus for 13 years and a pretty significant launch, due for its show debut at the 2008 London motor show later this month on 22 July 2008. That's when we’ll find out the name of this new Lotus – codenamed Eagle – but in the meantime the company is teasing us with some new details.
