 Genuine Fila Ferrari F2003 Shoes w/Box!  Men's 9/42!  Collector's Item!  Rare!

This is a rare find.  This is a factory-authorized 2003 issue of its official shoe in conjunction with its Scuderia racing program.  The shoes incorporate the design of the Ferrari 360 Modena, complete with mesh air vents that take on a striking resemblance to the car.  The OEM box is fairly thick and pretty sturdy, and is almost perfect, with a very slight "bunching" near one edge of the box top.  Three of the eight corners show very limited signs of wear from storage.  I would rate the box 8 out of 10.  Particularly for being 12 years old, the box and shoes are in fine shape!

Shoes were worn only to a limited number of Ferrari factory events and FCA functions, over a two-year period in 2003 and 2004.  They have
since been stored.  In all, they were worn nine times, and have been kept in a smoke-free, temperature and humidity-controlled environment, out of sunlight.  These are not the kind of shoes you would want to wear on a daily basis, unless you like attention -- lots!  At Ferrari events, you will be the talk of the town and the big man on campus.  Outside of those events, you will be a freak, since the color is Rosso Scuderia.  The box states "Rosso Corsa," but I've had two cars in Rosso Corsa color and three cars in Rosso Scuderia color.  A blind man can see you walking in these shoes from quite a distance.  My guess is that, simply, the Fila factory made the shoes in the color of Rosso Scuderia per directive of Ferrari to comport with the official racecar color, since the factory had not yet introduced or named it as a standard color (with no up-charge for its consumer cars) in 2003.

Yet, keep in mind that the shoes are not new, and show limited signs of wear.  For example, the only noticeable mark that stands out when the viewer gets close enough to inspect is a small black dot, about 2 mm in diameter, on the right shoe near the toe area.  That spot may clean up nicely, but I did not want to try.  Clean, hygienic feet with clean socks were always inserted during the nine uses.

Watch the 'Mad Max' video game trailer

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

“Mad Max: Fury Road” comes out in 2015 with Tom Hardy (Bane, "The Dark Knight Rises") playing Max Rockatansky in the wasteland that used to be the Australian outback. Lucky for us, that means a demolition-soaked, open-world, off-road-style car game is on the way, too. We checked out the trailer on Friday for the "Mad Max" video game, which has been delayed until 2015, and found that it hits all the right buttons.
