The new Ford Mondeo ECOnetic sports a 2.0 litre, 115bhp diesel engine which achieves a remarkable 54.3mpg (and remember, the Mondeo weighs in at over 1500kg). MG exploring sports car concepts, eyeing US return

The company is in the early stages of exploratory work on a sports car following the opening of a new design studio in Shanghai, a sports car that is expected to mirror the classic MGB mold, if it is determined that today's MG could in fact field a worthy competitor to the Miata.

It was unclear today if there will be marketing implications to Nissan using the Cummins name on a competitive truck.
