THE RAC has said that the current crisis in Ukraine will see a rise in petrol and diesel prices in the coming weeks. It said fuel traders had already begun to buy up stocks to guard against being caught out in the event of the situation worsening. After claims about gauging public reaction, and teasing us with drives in a concept car that felt production-ready, the French manufacturer has done the decent thing and decided to build the RC Z. The production model will be shown at the 2009 Frankfurt show, two years after the concept was first unveiled.

Chris Bangle to receive EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award

Chris Bangle is to receive a Lifetime Design Achievement Award from EyesOn Design. The jugers, all past winners of the award, include Walter de'Silva, Tom Gale, Giorgetto Giugiaro, Chuck Jordan, Robert Lutz, Shiro Nakamura, Sergio Pininfarina and Jack Telnack. Bangle is best known for his pioneering work at BMW Group from 1992 until 2009, when he left his position of Chief of Design.
