The Kia Niro Concept (pictured) debuts at Frankfurt as a pointer to a new compact SUV Earlier this month we had a teaser from Kia for a new compact urban SUV heading for a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and here its is – the Kia Niro Concept. Kia has obviously been careful with its concept naming this time after the storm in a teacup response to the Kia Provo last year, with a name that shouts ‘Famous Actor’ rather than ‘Famous Terrorist’. Sensible move.

Hungary F1 Grand Prix 2011 The 2011 Hungary Grand Prix marks the 200th Grand Prix for Jenson Button, and is also the scene of his first Grand Prix win, a win made in very similar weather conditions – overcast with intermittent rain – as the Hungaroring presented in 2011. A good omen, perhaps? As it turned out the often boring Hungarian Grand Prix was a properly good show.

Supermarkets cut diesel prices

SUPERMARKETS seeking to close the gap between the price of petrol and diesel have announced reductions at the pumps. Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco have all knocked up to 2p a litre off diesel prices over the weekend. Asda said that those filling up with its diesel would be paying no more than 131.7p a litre.
