Now it’s the turn of the XC90 R-Design. The new Volvo XC90 R-Design is exactly what you’d expect from an R-Design Volvo; enough bolt-on extras to denote something a little different and, perhaps, a little more sporty, but not so much it looks like the work of a pizza-faced teen let loose in a car customising emporium.

The company claims it’s the ‘quickest, fastest and most powerful sedan in the world,’ and a quick look at the specs suggests they’ve created a super-saloon to shame the fastest four-doors from Europe. The new four-door Hellcat packs a 707bhp punch and is capable of a standing quarter mile in just 11.0sec.
Peter Horbury replaces Steve Mattin as Vice President of Design at Volvo Cars
Wed, 01 Apr 2009Ford Motor Company announced key changes to both Volvo Cars and Ford's Americas design operations today. Effective May 1, Peter Horbury, currently Executive Director of Ford Americas Design, will return to Volvo as Vice President of Design, replacing Steve Mattin who, according to Volvo, "elected to leave the company". Insider sources tell us he was forced out.
