Infiniti QX30 compact SUV to join new Q30 in Sunderland production
Fri, 11 Jul 2014The Infiniti Q30 (pictured) will be joined by the QX30 compact SUV The 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show saw the arrival of the Infiniti Q30 compact hatch as a concept, with plans to put it in to production in 2015 at Nissan’s plant in Sunderland. And it will be joined by the Infiniti QX30 compact SUV. Based on the underpinnings of the Mercedes A-Class, the new Infiniti Q30 is Infiniti’s first foray in to the compact market, and it seems Infiniti are keen to simultaneously tap in to the compact SUV market with the higher-riding QX30 as Infiniti’s take on the Mercedes GLA.

It's a fully electric BMW and a hint of what's to come through the long-range visionary Project i plan which will reshape BMWs for the 21st century.No prizes for guessing it's based on an existing BMW production car, the 1-series Coupé. But the hardware underneath is designed to percolate across the lower echelons of the BMW range, starting with some exciting new bespoke electric cars.The ActiveE is the first fully electric BMW and follows in the treadmarks of the Mini E. Like the Mini, this battery BM will be used as a pilot test programme where it will be driven by selected private and fleet motorists.BMW ActiveE concept: how it worksThis is a rear-drive BMW with the internal combustion engine ditched in a Munich scrapheap.

Thu, 19 Aug 2010The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport Thanks to a friend of Cars UK with a healthy appetite for hypercars (and the bank balance to indulge his lust) we were able to break the news to the world that Bugatti were building the ultimate, 1200 hp Veyron – The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport - back in June. Bugatti confirmed our story in July with news that the Veyron Super Sport had taken the world speed record for a production car with an average speed run of 267.81 mph. When Bugatti announced the Super Sport and the new World Record, we also got pictures of the world record Veyron which will form the basis for an Orange and Carbon World Record Edition of five cars.
