Jaguar F-Type Coupe heading for ‘The Special One’ first after UK debut
Fri, 14 Feb 2014José Mourinho and the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe The new Jaguar F-Type Coupe seems to have been around for ages already, but last night was actually its official UK launch, despite being revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show three months ago. Jaguar roped in a number of its ‘Ambassadors’ for the event at East Winter Garden in Canary Wharf including its newest recruit, Chelsea manager José Mourinho, who is due to get the first customer F-Type Coupe in the UK next month. Jaguar took the opportunity to use its latest advert ‘Rendezvous’ featuring Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong as a trio of villainous Brits that first aired in the US during the recent Super Bowl, to kick proceedings off and add life to the #GoodToBeBad campaign.

Complete with uprated 230PS (or 227bhp) engine, deeper bodykit and an interior makeover, the special edition is the fastest version of the hot hatch to date. The engineers have tweaked the 2.0-litre turbo's engine management, to extract the additional 30bhp.
Opel product chief Weber quits to take job with yet-unnamed rival
Thu, 07 Apr 2011Frank Weber, the German-born engineer who helped lead development of the Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera hybrids, is leaving General Motors' Opel unit to work for an as-yet unnamed competitor. Weber has been Opel's product chief since November 2009. His departure was reported Thursday by Automotive News Europe and confirmed by company sources.
