It's charged with bringing the compact exec bang up to date and giving it (Mercedes hopes) the edge over the BMW 3-series that's snatched class honours in recent years. London cabbies in go-slow protest
Tue, 09 Sep 2014LONDON cabbies are staging a go-slow protest in the capital today against a decision by London Mayor Boris Johnson over taxi pollution. The Cabbies Against Boris (CAB) organisation says Mr Johnson is wrong to have scrapped older taxis on pollution grounds. CAB says research shows that new vehicles contribute more to pollution than older ones.
VW Passat R-Line introduced

The Passat Sport and Passat SEL are dropped, and the new range now comprises S, R-Line and Highline. But, just as with the Tiguan R-Line, this is not a power upgrade but merely a cosmetic one.
