Audi Stop-Start Introduced
Wed, 13 May 2009Audi is to introduce Stop Start on a number of its cars from 3rd quarter 2009 Of all the major car makers, Audi has probably coped with the changing car landscape better than the rest. From posting record car sales for 2008, despite the gloom and doom that has permeated the whole car industry, to launching more new models than you can count, the push is onward and upward. And the world has fallen in love with its cars, from modest little hatchbacks to Supercars.
Opel/Vauxhall teases Cascada mid-size convertible
Wed, 05 Sep 2012Opel/Vauxhall has given us a sneak peek of its new mid-size convertible, the Cascanda, which effectively replaces the Astra Twin Top. The Cascanda features a full-size fabric roof that can be opened or closed with one button up to speeds of 30mph and is the latest model to shun a folding hardtop in favor of the lighter and more practical soft option. The company claims this is its first D-segment cabrio for more than 70 years but, unlike them, we haven't forgotten the Cavialier Convertible of the 1980s (see pic).
There will NOT be a ‘Super’ LaFerrari after all
Tue, 07 May 2013Ferrari has been on the phone this morning to explain that the man from Autocar who spoke to LaFerrari’s chief designer, Flavio Manzoni, got hold of entirely the wrong end of the stick when discussing the design elements Ferrari didn’t use on LaFerrari. It seems Manzoni was explaining that during the design process for LaFerrari there were many design elements that couldn’t be included on LaFerrari, but were so good they wanted to keep them for use on future Ferraris. That was seized upon as confirmation that Ferrari were planning a ‘Super’ LaFerrari to sit above the new supercar at an even more extreme price.
