The result is a set of adverts that promote the safety of the little Fiat 500 and the environmental impact of the Fiat range, in a set of creative ads featuring a Fiat 500 crash test involving a Giant Panda, a Walrus and a Penguin.

SsangYong will show XUV 1 concept at Frankfurt

South Korean automaker SsangYong will have something to brag about at the Frankfurt motor show in September--namely, the new concept XUV 1. The XUV 1 is a small crossover vehicle with a shape similar to that of the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. At least that's what we see from teaser photos released on Thursday.

One student designer has made history by winning the prizes for Best Overall Design and Best Use of Glazing at the 2011 Pilkington Vehicle Design Awards. For the first time in the awards' 24-year history, the prizes were awarded to Adam Phillips, a postgraduate of the vehicle design course at the Royal College of Art (RCA). Phillips, who previously worked as a toy designer for Lego before studying at the RCA, scooped the awards with a concept on the modern family car that uses iPad-style technology called ‘Family Dynamic'.
