This is a GoFastBits Hybrid GT Blow Off Valve for the 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT (this probably fits the other turbo 2.5 Subaru's, but check first, I dont know for sure). It comes in the original packaging, however it is missing the end cap for when you have it set to "full atmospheric release." This specifically was a design flaw as I regularly had to retighten it when I owned the car, so it eventually just fell off. The horn is on the adjacent end of the cylinder, and the whole purpose of this thing is to make noise (after relieving pressure), so its not like not having this thing will disrupt the operation of it - or the performance.

Its the Hybrid, because you can full adjust the pressure of the valve, and adjust the settings so that you can have full recirculation (so it functions like a stock version pressure release canister), half recirculation and half blow off, or "full atmospheric release."

It has a nice middle range sound, compared to the HKS or the other higher squaking BOVs.

Again, original box, and instructions. Pulled from my car after only 11 months because I had to get a Fit (see other auctions).

An evolution of the Microbus concept unveiled ten years ago, the Bulli is Volkswagen's T1 renaissance. The Bulli is yet another electric concept that graced the floor in Geneva, boasting a range of around 300 km to a single charge from its 85 kW motor. The two tone exterior, complete with oversized VW emblem is a direct nod to the T1.

Volvo V60 diesel plug-in hybrid – again

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

Volvo V60 Plug-in Diesel Hybrid Last month we reported on the innovative Volvo V60 diesel plug-in hybrid, a proper advance in hybrid gubbins which Volvo are planning on revealing – in practically production-ready form – at next weeks Geneva Motor Show. We first reported Volvo’s intention to bring a diesel hybrid to market by 2012 back in 2009, and the story we ran at the end of January was confirmation of that. But now Volvo has churned out a chunky press release to tell us exactly what the V60 plug-in hybrid will offer, so we thought we ought to revisit this story one more time before Geneva.

Gilles Vidal on Peugeot's Design Direction

Mon, 13 Sep 2010

Peugeot's new 508 sedan and sport wagon unveiled in detail last week represent not only a new pair of family cars to compete against the likes of the Ford Mondeo and Opel/Vauxhall Insignia but the start of a new design direction for the brand. When asked whether he was going to kill off the brand's current low-down big and gapey grille graphic for something more subtle across its whole production range new director of style at Peugeot, Gilles Vidal exclusively told Car Design News: "Yes... definitely.
