Official: UK car production is booming

Nearly 10% MORE cars were produced in the UK this September compared to the same time last year, data released today from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has revealed What’s more, 1,125,433 cars were manufactured in the UK by the end of the month – that’s a 3.9% rise compared to 2012. September new car sales beat forecasts UK car sales hit four year high in 2012 This means UK car production has returned to pre-recession levels. The rolling 12-month total has now topped 1.5 million vehicles.

Corvette Z06: The history

Chevrolet recently introduced the 2015 Corvette Z06, claiming it as the most track-capable Corvette in the brand's history. The Z06 started out back in 1963, but since its introduction, it has been available in four of the Corvette's seven production generations. Pilkington Vehicle Design Awards 2010

Royal College of Art vehicle design graduates Marten Wallgren and David Seesing took top honors at the Pilkington Vehicle Design Awards held at the RCA in London on 24 June. Marten Wallgren from Sweden scooped the award for Best Overall Design Interpretation for his next-generation car sharing system entitled 'The Grid'. The 'private public transportation service for the year 2025' incorporated a two-seater, semi autonomously driven car with community charging features.
