The GiroDisc replacement rotor system is a direct rotor disc replacement for the Giro Disc 2-piece hat and rotor and no modifications are necessary. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. The 2-piece GiroDisc design allows for rotor only replacement to minimize replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling. Sold/Priced per pair. |

The culmination of a four month project, this most recent episode from Strate College covers the final designs and scenarios students presented to Peugeot's design staff at the firm's Design Center. The video features excerpts of interviews with the 10 student teams – each comprised of three students – on the French university's transport design course, who explain the rationale behind their chosen individual scenarios and the resulting concepts.
2011 Audi R8 GT, an AW first look
Sat, 01 May 2010Three years after it burst onto the supercar scene, Audi has unveiled a hard-core version of its R8 called the GT. Based on the existing mid-engine R8 V10 and incorporating aerodynamic, weight-saving and mechanical developments used by the company's R8 LMS GT3 race car, Ingolstadt will build just 333 copies of the new 560-hp four-wheel-drive performance flagship. Pricing has not yet been revealed, but given the extent of the changes to the new two-seater, buyers should expect a hefty premium over the R8 V10's $147,000 price tag when the GT goes on sale in North America.
