We ship most products same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline. The GiroDisc 2-piece system is a direct replacement for the OE disc and no modifications are necessary. The GiroDisc system will bolt directly to your car and work with the OEM capilers perfectly. The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron which is constructed in the USA and is made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. The 2-piece GiroDisc design allows for rotor only replacement as well to minimize future replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling. Sold/Priced per pair. |

Zero tolerance to drink-driving urged
Tue, 10 Jun 2014DRIVERS are being urged to pledge not to drink any alcohol before driving this summer as the police launches a new drink-driving campaign. The call comes from road safety charity Brake, which reports that the 2013 summer drink-driving campaign by the police breathalysed 100,892 drivers and 5170 failed the test. This summer’s football World Cup is a cause for concern for the police as drivers may be tempted to have an alcoholic drink while watching a football match before getting into their car.
HERTZ TO OFFER ELECTRIC IMIEV HIRE
Thu, 10 Oct 2013THE HERTZ Corporation has signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Motors in the UK to add the pure-electric vehicle (EV) i-MiEV city car to the fleets of Hertz and car sharing club Connect by Hertz in the UK. The rollout has already begun with two Mitsubishi i-MiEVs now available for Connect by Hertz members to zip around London. Hertz plans to add further i-MiEVs to its fleets throughout the year across the UK, as well as offering vehicles for corporate and university pool fleets.
