Bought for a project car that I ended up parting out. Never actually used, but somehow, it did receive some minor cosmetic damage while in storage. See picture for closeup of damage, there is a very small scratch under the right button on the gauge face and a small ding to the matte black finish on the surround.

GlowShift Elite 10 Color Electronic Vacuum Gauge
Up for auction is a 52mm vacuum gauge from GlowShift. It has a matte black finish and a variable color backlight display. I bought this gauge for a project car that I ended up parting out, so I no longer have a use for it. However the gauge was 100% in working order the last time I tested it. Gauge comes with all required componants from GlowShift. Installation instructions can be downloaded from their website.

There is minimal cosmetic damage  the bottom of the gauge, as well as on the metal surrounding the gauge from when it shifted around in storage. See pictures for additional details.

Here is the product description from GlowShift: This 2 1/16 inch (52mm) vacuum gauge outperforms the competition with features that include programmable high and low warning functions, a peak recall function, stepper motor technology, 10 color through dial LED lighting, as well as a self-calibration mode at startup, an illuminated red needle, and a low profile magnified tinted lens. The adjustable high and low warning functions will alert you visually or with an optional audible tone, ensuring your vehicle’s vacuum pressure is running at perfect levels, and the peak recall feature gives you instant vehicle feedback. The included stepper motor ensures all needle movement is remarkably smooth and all gauge readings incredibly accurate. GlowShift’s 10 color through dial lighting lets you match your stock gauges or add a custom look to interior of your vehicle, and with the color recall feature you won’t have to worry about resetting the gauge to your preferred color every time you turn your vehicle on. This vacuum gauge dims 30% when connected to your factory headlight switch, making it much easier to read when driving at night.

GlowShift’s Elite 10 Color Series Vacuum Gauge’s electronic pressure sensor is installed with the included t-fitting, allowing you to splice into any vacuum line. All of the included sensor and power wires are plug and play, and securely connect into the back of the gauge with modular connectors. This vacuum gauge is powered by 12 volts and will let you to power an additional three Elite 10 gauges with the daisy chain feature. GlowShift includes free lifetime technical support and a one year limited warranty with every Elite 10 Color Series Gauge.

Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo sedan and wagon debut at Frankfurt motor show

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

Leave it to BMW's most pinstripe-stickered tuner to come up with a car just for automotive journalists. That's right: Alpina has built a diesel BMW 3-series sedan and wagon duo and has taken them to the Frankfurt motor show to taunt scribes whose countries will probably not be getting them, and that likely includes the U.S. Even though the D3 Bi-Turbo is diesel powered, fuel economy was not the first thing on Alpina's mind.

Most of the time when on a racetrack, or anywhere for that matter, you want to keep all four wheels on the ground. Sure, it's cool when a VW Golf gets a wheel up during an autocross event, still, it's less traction going to the ground for braking, accelerating or turning. But if you're really going for a hot lap, catching a little air is often par for the course.

Porsche Panamera interiors revealed

The interior of the Porsche Panamera - a big improvement on the outside styling [ad#ad-1] The Porsche Panamera saga has been going on for as long as the Aston Martin Rapide saga. Endless spy shots, dribbles of information and finally, last month, the first official photos of the car. But now we have official photos of the interior, which should now pretty much complete the information we’re likely to get ahead of the car’s official launch in the UK on September 12th, except for prices, which I’m sure will surface before long.
