DETAILS THIS INPUT SHAFT IS THE "300mm" TYPE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SMOOTH PILOT ON THE CONVERTER END. FITS 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L ENGINES. MACHINED FROM 300M STEEL THEN HARDENED.   ****THIS SHAFT DOES NOT HAVE RELUCTOR TEETH NEEDED FOR LATE MODEL APPLICATIONS THAT USE A SENSOR THROUGH THE BACK SIDE OF THE STATOR****  THE TCC CHECK BALL & CAPSULE AT THE END OF THE SHAFT IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS PART.      THE SONNAX KIT IS USED TO REINFORCE THE ALUMINUM HOUSING OF THE INPUT DRUM AROUND THE INPUT SHAFT AREA TO PREVENT CRACKING AND BREAKAGE UNDER EXTREME USAGE. THIS SONNAX KIT WILL NOT FIX A DRUM WITH A CRACKED INPUT HOUSING!!!  IF YOUR HOUSING IS CRACKED, YOU MUST REPLACE THE DRUM PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF THIS SONNAX KIT.

Fuel protests halt Spanish car production

By Dimitri Pesin Motoring Issues 16 June 2008 10:25 Fuel protests in Europe triggered by the soaring cost of fuel have drastically reduced car production in Spain this month.  Last week's truck blockades and fuel depot pickets in Madrid caused car plants around the country to cut production. Seat, Citroen Peugeot, Ford, Nissan, Renault and Mercedes-Benz all have factories in Spain and most said they were affected.Seat production slashed by 40 percentSeat said its main Martorell plant was operating at 40 percent capacity, with production of the Leon and Altea models severely affected. However, the protests won’t delay sales of the new Ibiza, a spokesman promised, and assembly of cars in the factory is expected to return to normal this week.

A MOTHER whose two-year-old son was one of eight people who died in a horrific road crash has spoken of the need for motorists to "break the habit of speeding to prevent more needless deaths". Tracey Mohabir's comments came as the Government announced a four-fold increase in fines available to magistrates, meaning motorway speeders could be forced to pay up to £10,000. Mrs Mohabir's son Marcus was travelling with his father Steve and two friends, Toby and Kate Beasley, when their Land Rover was hit by a speeding BMW which crashed through the central reservation on the A23 near Pycombe, Sussex, on May 16 2004.

When a father-and-son restoration team discovered the unassuming DB 2/4 Mk I Vantage collecting dust they had no idea of its potential significance. As they began to peel back the layers they uncovered a set of unique modifications, similar to those in the fictional Bond car, including reinforced steel bumpers, concealed lockers, heavy-duty anti-interference ignition system, and connections for a two-way radio or homing device.
