We are offering the following high quality transmission rebuild kit for your GM 700R4 transmission. This kit will include the following items in this kit, frictions, steels, overhaul gasket and seals kit, filter, band, pump bushing and the extension housing bushing.

This kit will contain the following quality parts for your transmission rebuild.

74006 ... Master W/Steels Kit, 700R4 1982-84, (Raybestos Frictions, Steels and Toledo Overhaul Gasket and Seals Kit)

A74010 ... Filter, 700R4 (Wide) 1982-1991 (SPX or Allomatic)

74020AK ... Band, 700R4 (2 Tang) Band, 1982-Up, (KEVLAR LINED)

74034 ... Bushing, 700R4/4L60E Pump Body (Babbit) 1982-Up

44066 ... Bushing, 700R4/4L60E Extension Housing (Babbit) 1982-Up

This is a basic overhaul kit for your transmission. We suggest changing all the bushing, thrust washers and the thrust bearing during your rebuild. There may be broken hard parts in the transmission that was your problem that caused the rebuild. Inspect all the hard parts very closely while you clean the parts. If you are new to rebuilding automatic transmissions, remember to soak all friction materials for 30 minutes in clean transmission fluid before installing.

FYI: During your parts inspection, check the Sun Shell closely for cracks in the welds or stripped splines in the shell. This is a known weak spot in these transmissions. You may want to consider stepping up to a heavy duty shell like the Beast.

Judge dismisses dealers' lawsuit against Tesla's retail stores

Dealers trying to block Tesla Motors Inc.'s retail stores in Massachusetts lost another round this week when a judge dismissed their lawsuit against the electric vehicle maker. In a ruling issued Monday, Norfolk County Superior Court Judge Kenneth Fishman said the Massachusetts State Automobile Dealers Association and other plaintiffs lacked standing to sue. It was the same reasoning the judge used in a November ruling denying a preliminary injunction against Tesla's suburban Boston store.

According to the data the number of fatal accidents dropped by 16 percent from 2006 to 2007 (from 490 to 410), while the number of deaths in these accidents fell 18 percent (down to 460 in 2007 from 650 in 2006). But while the number of deaths is going down, hospitals are still being kept busy as drink-drive casualties rose from 11,840 in 2006 to 12,260 in 2007, a jump of four percent.
