You are bidding on a used GM 8.5 inch 10 bolt Eaton Gov Lock posi carrier. The gov lock is not a limited slip differential but a genuine locking differential with mild lockup transition characteristics so that it handles well on ice and snow as well as other surfaces. This carrier fits rear Chevy 10 bolt axles and will not fit front Chevy 10 bolt axles. This unit is in good used condition.

THIS CARRIER WILL NOT FIT ANY VEHICLE FROM 2000 up.

Often these units are called Posi's. This is a Series 3 unit which will accept gear ratios from 2.73 and up numerically. The side gears are 30 spline and fit 30 spline axle shafts. The carrier bearings look OK. No guarantees on used bearings. This carrier fits the first generation 8.5" GM 10 bolt housings. It will not fit second generation 8.5"/8.6" 10 bolt housings from late 1999 up. Be sure of your application before bidding. I am not able to determine what axle you might have.

Will fit many GM vehicles equipped with an 8.5/8.6 inch Rear 10 bolt c-clip axles or non c-clip. Side gears are 30 Splines. 30 spline axle shafts are typically found on 1989 and newer GM vehicles.
