In the early 1980s, with the new millennium still seemingly an age away, Nissan Design America was tasked with imagining the family car of the future, while giving potential buyers a preview of the forthcoming N13 NX and EXA models. The resulting concept would be shown at the Tokyo motor show in 1983. Given confidence by the increasing success and expanding global presence of Japanese cars, including the previous generation N12 NX, Nissan's designers, led by Tom Semple, decided that the NX-21 (for 21st century) was the answer.

This is the first look at the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro undergoing testing at an undisclosed track. Anticipated for its official unveiling at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, this pre-production model holds true to the design cues of the Camaro concept car first seen at the Detroit Auto Show in 2006. While drawing heavily on the design features of its 1969 ancestor, the new car is a bold and angular interpretation with tight surfaces and a powerful stance.

Chevrolet has taken the wraps off the pace car for the 98th running of the Indianapolis 500: It'll be the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. Veteran race car driver Dario Franchitti will be piloting the Camaro Z/28 around the track on race day, May 25. 2014 will mark the eighth time that a Camaro has been chosen as the official pace car for the race, with 1967 being the first time that a Camaro has lead the pack around the course.
