Chrysler ‘Thomas Special' steals the show at RM Meadow Brook auction

Posting more than $10 million in total sales, RM Auctions' Vintage Motor Cars of Meadow Brook event had an unexpected top seller on July 24. After crossing the auction block at $858,000, a 1953 Chrysler coupe known as the “Thomas Special” became the event's headliner. It was estimated to sell for $350,000 to $500,000.

Italian design house Zagato has announced the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale, a road-going follow-up to 2010's TZ3 Corsa racing car concept which won Concept of the Year honours at the Villa del'Este Concours last May. Zagato will build nine TZ3 Stradales, meaning a total of 10 TZ3s will help celebrate Alfa Romeo's centennary. Honda Interface Exhibition

Ginza, Tokyo - Honda recently had a small exhibition to show their progression of IP and binnacle design. Situated in the design gallery of Matsuya, one of Tokyo's premier department stores, it included a chronology of Honda dashboards from the first Civic to tomorrow's FCX. Opposite this was a grid of recesses, which each contained dials taken from the current range of Honda road cars.
