Aston Martin and Mercedes tie-up over Lagonda

Probably the biggest surprise of the Geneva Motor Show was the arrival of the Lagonda Concept. Although the revival of the Lagonda Marque had been much speculated upon, particularly with Lagonda celebrating its 100 year car making anniversary this year (an all the marketing opportunities that offers) no one had seen a super-luxo SUV on the horizon. Ralliart unit folds, but Mitsubishi keeps name

Mitsubishi will continue using the “Ralliart” brand name despite the demise of the Japanese racing parts company this week. Ralliart Inc., a wholly owned Japanese subsidiary of Mitsubishi Motors Corp., informed global distributors on Wednesday that it would cease business operations March 31. In the United States and Europe, Mitsubishi markets a Ralliart sports version of its Lancer, which has become a sporty halo car for the brand.

The new Subaru Legacy Concept (pictured) is heading for Los Angeles Auto Show The Subaru Legacy is a more than decent car – and very appealing – but it’s not the most stylish looking car. But that could soon change if the new Subaru Legacy Concept – revealed today ahead of a debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week – is anything to go by. The front end is very ‘in yer face’ with a big hexagonal grill and ‘Hawk-Eye’ headlights, with big flared wheel arches hinting at decent power – and four wheel drive – and a character line running upwards along the side from the back of the front wheel arches to the tail.
