Top Gear Christmas Special: Video trailer

Thu, 09 Dec 2010

Top Gear Christmas Special - Iraq to Bethlehem The first clue we had about what the Top Gear Christmas Special would be this year was back in October when we caught the boys out playing in the Middle East with a trio of rather battered roadsters. It seemed like the makings of another road-trip special with the madness of the Middle East as a backdrop for the madness of Top Gear. McLaren shows off its MP4-12C GT3 racer

Wed, 04 May 2011

McLaren GT, comprised of a partnership between the British company and CRS Racing, has unveiled its new GT3 race car based on the forthcoming MP4-12C sports car. This is the first McLaren built for FIA GT racing since the F1 GTR took to the track before production ended in 1997. "McLaren has racing in its blood, and it was a natural step to take our MP4-12C road car and turn it into the most reliable, efficient and easy-to-drive GT3 car," said Martin Whitmarsh, the McLaren Group's chief executive officer.

Which he has – sort of. Fuel was due to increase by around 5p a litre next week if he’d left Labour’s fuel duty escalator in place.
