New MINI to be unveiled on 18 November

The new third-generation MINI Hatch will be revealed at the British brand’s Oxford factory on the 18 November, ahead of a simultaneous showcase at the 2013 LA and Tokyo Motor Shows two days later. In a nice touch from the BMW-owned carmaker, the special unveiling event will be held 107 years to the day since creator of the original Mini, Sir Alec Issigonis, was born. University of Huddersfield Degree Show 2008

Destinations, the graduate show of the Transport Design degree course at the University of Huddersfield, showed projects created by graduating students earlier this summer as part of the School of Art and Design's Graduate Show week, and also at the New Designers exhibition held in London's Business Design Centre. While a significant proportion of the course is orientated towards automotive exterior and interior design, projects also allow for a wider interpretation of transport design including boats, public transport, trucks and motorcycles as well as more conceptual approaches towards transport issues of the future. This year's graduates investigated a large range of themes and produced a variety of design solutions.

BMW M135i (2012) first official pictures

This is the new BMW M135i, a 316bhp hot hatch and the fifth model to emerge from BMW's new M Performance Automobiles tuning arm. We've already seen the 5-series (in saloon and Touring guises) and the X5 and X6 with triple-turbo diesel engines from this new sub-division of BMW's infamous M Division, but the M135i the first petrol offering. The M135i was previewed by a concept car at the 2012 Geneva motor show earlier this year, and the production version is little different.
