New Donkervoort D8 GTO gets Audi 2.5 litre turbo with up to 400hp
Mon, 19 Dec 2011New Donkervoort D8 GTO Dutch firm Donkervoort has revealed their D8 GTO with an Audi 2.5 litre 5-pot engine with up to 400hp and a 0-60mph of 3 seconds. Dutch maker of bonkers cars, Jooop Donkervoort, has unleashed his new, lightweight and totally impractical car – the Donkervoort D8 GTO – after what seems an age of development. And thanks to a close working relationship with Audi, the D8 GTO pretty much lives up to its cheeky GTO moniker.
Future products: Hyundai's push will change the look of showrooms
Tue, 24 Aug 2010Hyundai is introducing seven new or redesigned models in a 24-month stretch that ends in the fall of 2011. So naturally the Hyundai guys refer to their product onslaught as “24/7.” And the pace won't slow much after those seven models hit the streets. Significant new entries also are planned for 2012 and 2013, including Hyundai's first fuel cell electric vehicle, a redesigned Veracruz full-sized crossover and a replacement for the Azera full-sized sedan.
Ford to launch 25 new models in Europe in next 5 years
Fri, 20 Sep 2013The new Ford S-mAx (pictured) is just one of 25 new Fords heading for Europe Ford of Europe has had a miserable time of late, with the European market in disarray as the Eurozone crisis continues to rumble and car buyers on the continent shy away from big ticket purchases. But, just as they did in the US, Ford are making plans to cash-in when the Eurozone economy improves in the coming years (not that that’s an absolute given) and are going to ready with a raft of new models to tempt mainstream buyers when economies start to grow and car finance becomes a realistic option for more once again. Barb Samardzich, Ford’s head of product development in Europe, says Ford are planning to make their portfolio of products the best ever in anticipation of a recovery, with a huge 25 new models launching over the next five years, and they will be additions to the Ford line-up or new generations, not variants.
